When you use the cry analysis feature, we temporarily process audio recordings of your baby's cries. By default, audio is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored. If you choose to enable history features, audio metadata (not the raw audio) may be stored in your account.

b. Account Information

If you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. We do not require or collect your baby's name, date of birth, or any other personally identifiable information about your child unless you voluntarily provide it.

c. Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data such as feature usage frequency, app session duration, and crash reports. This data does not identify you or your child personally.

d. Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for the purpose of improving app performance and compatibility.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the cry analysis service
• Process audio recordings for classification purposes
• Improve our AI model accuracy (using only anonymized, aggregated data with consent)
• Send important service notifications
• Provide customer support

We take children's privacy extremely seriously. WhyCryBaby is designed for use by parents and guardians, not by children directly.

• Audio recordings of baby cries are processed for the sole purpose of cry classification and are not used to identify any child.

• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption
• Audio data processed via the web demo is deleted immediately after analysis
• Account data is stored on secure servers with restricted access
• We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing
• Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
